Martin's Corner

Martin's Corner is Goa's Finest Restaurant endorsed by big names like Sachin Tendulkar. The restaurant was started of from a small shop where boys from the locality would come to play carrom or drop in for a soft drink. As it gained popularity, Mrs Carfina started to serve traditional Goan dishes. This corner store was then extended into a small eat out with four tables. The first major expansion came about the vacant open space between the store and the residence was brought underone roof to cater to a crowd. Today MArtin's corner has swept every award in food, ambience and cuisine category across India. Much stress is given to the kitchen which is personally supervised by master chef Mrs Carfina Pereira and high level of hygiene are maintained making MArtins Corner a safe place to eat. Her sons Pobres, Jose and Bonny have nurtured and named the place after her husband Late Mratin Pereira. Sachin Tendulkar who loves to eat here has a dish named after him.

The restaurant has now expanded in an exclusive country getaway rooms namely, Martins comfort, with a rustic setting where you can experience Goa itself. The serene Betalbatim Beach more known as Sunset Beach is five minutes walking distance from Martins Corner and Martin's Comfort.

  • A great place for Friends and Family Mar 07, 2013

As a Goan, I visited Martin's Corner first the first time last week and I absolutely loved it. The atmosphere oozed with the Goan spirit and the music is like a cherry on the cake. The food is delicious, especially for those who are seafood lovers. Thumbs up for the local cuisine served at Martin Corner.

We were staying in the South Goa area and decided to visit Martins corner based on a friends recommendation.
It was a nice place open air kinda restaurant where you can just relax with friends and family. Good food good music. Must try for the local Goan cuisine here.
We tried everything from the papad stuffed with prawns to shark ambotik which was all very delicious along with masala fried calamari but didn't find the butter garlic king fish much to our liking. The cocktails were a lil too strong. The desserts were pretty good. Their apple pie was pretty delicious.
    Service was pretty

  • Good food but poor staff Dec 30, 2011

Went to this place as we had hrd so much abt it. But i thnk it ws a let down fr us. The staff was very arrogant. They were nt attending to the guests and we had to follow up fr everything. They shud nt take us fr granted just bcos its a popular place and a good brand.

  • Great Ambience and a must visit Oct 04, 2011

If you had the choice of visiting just one restaurant whilst in Goa, make it this one. Very inexpensive (around Rs160 each dish) but really good food. We visited twice and enjoyed the food and the ambience a lot. The place was packed and we booked via the hotel and had a table waiting - be sure to book irrespective of he day of the week.
