Absolutely over hyped place 2012-05-13
Pathetic (apathetic too) service staff.
Horrible food. (As someone said earlier, they messed up french fries. But most of the goan joints i visited seemed to get their fries wrong, so..)
Avoid traditional Goan dishes. U will cry. They seem to think traditional goan food = vinegar OD.
Warm beers (colloquially called 'piss')
And try the chicken burger if you want to experience what the guy from Man v Wild does.
I won't even feed a stray dog there. -

A must visit 2012-01-30
I had to visit this place since it was highly recommended by my sis. The breakfast menu is awesome, loved the toasts and the ham sandwich. But one thing that stood out was the apple pie. I touched it with the spoon and it crumbled. Just the way i love it. -

Looks are deceptive 2012-01-30
The place looks lively nice music playing, but nothing tastes decent on the menu. They managed to mess up the french fries. Avoid -

Nice food..... 2011-12-13
the food was nice..... ambiance truly goan...loved the decor on first floor..
u must try the pork roast out here its simply amazing.....prawns garlic butter was delicious...\m/....
thats not it.....if ur bill is more than 300 (how foolish of me to say that.....) u get 5 beer pints for Rs 100 only.....(they gave us 6 pints for 100 ...i dont know yy....) -

Awesome food!! 2011-12-01
The food was great - place customer friendly! I just loooooooooved this place!! Would like to specially mention Paul and his colleague who wears glasses (I dont remember his name - my bad!) for their awesome service - we took a table on the ground floor and were sooooo impressed - best food in the area at reasonable price, oh yeah and the live music - really nice! Definitely on my "visit again' list -

Great food with great offers 2011-07-08
Went for a trip to Goa and had a lunch there. The food was great. We ordered many dishes (as we were 8 people) and almost all the dishes were good. We ordered a special Goan dessert and it tasted great. They also offer 6 beer pints in 100 Rs only.
Highly recommended if you are visiting Goa and staying nearby Calangute beach. Their English breakfast was awesome too. -

Not so cool anymore 2011-05-13
Infantaria used to be a great place for breakfast and desserts but when I visited it last month, I found it to be not-so-impressive. The service was slow and the food was just about average. The prawns appetizer was uninspiring, the pasta was cheesy enough to please, the juices/coolers were not very fresh. The Greek salad was the only winner. The place has certainly lost its charm! -

This place has a bakery which caters as well as a restaurant . the restaurant is nice and airy..The food we ordered came out very well and the staff was very courteous .Itis kind of small so there are not many tables and chairs .The catering service served good food and was efficient as they catered around 100 guests for my grandmothers death anniv mass. It was done very professionally. -

My favourite 2011-05-01
When I was visiting Goa in the monsoon of 2005, was staying at Calangute and used to frequent this wonderful place often. Infact had mentioned about Infantaria in my blog then - relevant excerpt below:
... down the road, and around the second corner is the bakery and a café restaurant combine. It’s authentic, going by the mix of locals there.
